TALK: Text and Learn webinar for Indiana public libraries

TALK: Text and Learn for Kindergarten sends fun activities parents/caregivers can do with their babies and preschoolers to make any time learning time. Developed by librarians and based on the Every Child Ready to Read program that encourages caregivers to read, write, sing, talk, and play with their little ones everyday, TALK activities are designed to get kids ready for school success.
In partnership with the Indiana State Library and staff at Ypsilanti District Library in Michigan, with funding from an IMLS National Leadership grant, Midwest Collaborative for Library Services is expanding the TALK program to Indiana public libraries. Originally created and tested by libraries in Washtenaw County, Michigan with IMLS/LSTA funds distributed through the Library of Michigan, TALK is currently being used by many public libraries in Michigan to reach parents they might not see at library storytimes.
