Last month, Michigan Digital Preservation Network (MDPN) Coordinator Dr. Chelsea Denault was invited by CLOCKSS Executive Director Alice Wise to share insights and reflections on the development of the MDPN to mark the Network’s release of the Statewide and Regional LOCKSS 2.0 Digital Preservation Network Implementation Toolkit. The Toolkit serves as the primary deliverable for the MDPN’s recent National Leadership Grant from the Institute of Museum and Library Services, which ended in April.  

CLOCKSS, which stands for “Controlled LOCKSS”, preserves journals, books, and other digital scholarship in partnership with publishers, and is part of the Private LOCKSS Network community and uses the LOCKSS (Lots of Copies Keeps Stuff Safe) software for preservation, as does the MDPN. MDPN and MCLS are grateful to CLOCKSS for giving us the opportunity to share our grant learnings with a broad international audience!
