Your library: a winner for engagement?

In case you missed it among other ALA Annual hullabaloo, this year’s Library Journal Movers & Shakers luncheon recognizing outstanding librarians also saw the introduction of a new award for libraries themselves—the LibraryAware Community Award. In a nutshell, the Community Award gives public libraries that have a drive for serving and engaging with their communities a chance of winning $10,000 and a featured spot in LJ’s April 1, 2013 edition. Click here for full details. Deadline for LibraryAware Community Award applications is this December 15. Award winners will be announced starting Library Week 2013.

The Community Award is underwritten by LibraryAware™, NoveList’s new service designed from the ground up to help libraries market themselves to their communities. Look here for upcoming LibraryAware demos. For LibraryAware pricing or additional info, contact us at services@mcls.org.
