MeL Databases Changes Scheduled for October 1 & November 1

This is a reminder to Michigan libraries that the MeL Databases line-up will change on October 1, 2011. Update 10/11/2011: NewsBank Michigan Newspapers Database will expire and be removed from MeL Databases on November 1, 2011. CINAHL Group Subscription for Michigan Libraries

In response to the Library of Michigan’s announcement that EBSCO databases will no longer be part of MeL Databases, MCLS is negotiating with EBSCO to put together a group subscription for CINAHL for Michigan libraries.  If you are interested in joining a group subscription to CINAHL, please contact MCLS at services@mcls.org.


MeLCat Welcomes New Libraries

Two new libraries, Gary Byker Memorial Library and Croton Township Library, joined MeLCat in June, bringing the total number of MeLCat libraries to 414! NCIP Development Underway for Michigan Evergreen & MeLCat

MCLS Retains LTC to Develop Open-Source NCIP Component for Evergreen Lansing, MI – July 18, 2011. New MeL Databases Announced for Oct. 1 and Nov. 1

The Library of Michigan has announced the following new line-up of MeL Databases. The new databases are slated to begin on October 1, 2011.
