MCLS launches new Training & Events registration system

Starting June 1, 2021, MCLS will be moving to a new training, workshops, and events registration system, Corsizio. We believe you will find the system to be user-friendly and that it will continue to provide all the benefits of our current system. Since it will look a little different, we wanted to take a few moments to help orient you to the benefits and changes we expect you to encounter.

One feature of the change is that you will no longer need to be logged in to your MCLS account in order to register for training, which should make it simpler for all staff of libraries to register themselves. All of our MCLS member libraries (as well as the non-member institutions through both states and beyond who have set up accounts with us) are pre-loaded, and you will simply select your institution during registration. Your member status will be listed, and you’ll be able to choose between Bill My Institution or Credit Card Payment options. Anyone not associated with a library listed will be able to register, but will need to select the Guest option and pay by credit card at the time of the registration, just like in the current system.

The main change for our MCLS members is that you will need to begin using a coupon code to receive your member pricing. An email will be going out to all MCLS Member Library Directors, Primary Contacts, and Billing Contacts in mid-May providing your coupon code and more information about the new system. These email recipients will need to share the coupon code information with any of their staff who will want to register themselves for workshops. Just like now, individuals can register themselves or others, so directors may choose if they want to share the coupon code information with all of their staff, or appoint someone to handle registrations of all staff.

Keep an eye on the Training & Events tab of our MCLS website to see where to access our list of classes as we transition. There will be an overlap during the month of June in which both registration systems will be in effect. Starting July 1, 2021, all registration will be through our new system except the Soft Skills recorded webinars, which will remain in the current system. Final links will be provided in our June newsletter.

We will continue to keep you updated as we transition over to Corsizio, and as we have new information to share. If you have any questions, please contact Gwen at training@mcls.org or (800) 530-9019 ext 404.
