Morningstar is becoming Investing Center this September

Morningstar offers independent investment research your patrons can trust. One of the industry’s broadest securities databases, along with portfolio tracking and reporting capabilities and up-to-date financial news and insights, Morningstar is a powerful resource. To support your patrons’ investing skills, Morningstar offers more than 100 virtual educational courses on topics like understanding companies, funds, bonds, and building a portfolio.

Morningstar Investment Research Center is moving forward with a new name, the Investing Center! The Investing Center will continue to provide Morningstar’s top investment research in a modern interface with new financial tools and an expanded investment universe. The new platform will be rolling out starting Sept. 7, 2023.

Morningstar Investing Center is an easy to navigate database that was designed especially for libraries to help patrons reach their investment goals. It’s the one-stop tool for collecting financial information, getting reliable portfolio analysis, learning about investment options, and getting the most up-to-date financial news commentary. Investing Center provides data on over 14,500 stocks, 24,800 mutual funds, 1,500 exchange-traded funds, and 700 closed end funds. Morninstar also provide analyst reports on over 3,500 securities, offering in-depth background and analyst opinions on top investments.

Newsletter Add-on

In just one simple click, users will find PDF versions of current and historical issues of Morningstar’s core newsletters spanning mutual funds, stocks, and exchange-traded funds. Morningstar's newsletter strategists provide investors with specific, actionable investment ideas. New issues will post to Morningstar Investment Research Center as soon as they are sent to the printer. That allows library users to access new research and ideas up to two weeks before printed versions of these newsletters would arrive in their mailboxes at home.  The titles included in the module are FundInvestor, StockInvestor, DividendInvestor and ETFInvestor.
