Libraries benefit by providing support to the Directory of Open Access Journals (DOAJ) via MCLS because the funding is more efficient, and in return, supporters receive a 25% discount off the list price that stand-alone libraries pay for their DOAJ support. Renewals each year are entirely optional.  

2025 pricing:  

• Large institution (FTE greater than 10,000): list price $4,400; member price $3,465 
• Small institution (FTE 10,000 or less): list price $2,200; member price $1,732.50 
• Community college (2-year institutions signing up through MCLS): member price $273
