Beat the Winter Doldrums with Free MeL Online Training!

Refresh your knowledge or learn new things by taking a MeL online course in February. We are offering three MeL Databases workshops in February: Feb. 9 Basics Part 2, Feb. 15 Basics Part 3, and Feb. 23 Arts and Humanities Highlights. [Please note that Part 1 is not a pre-requisite for Part 2 or 3.]

We are also offering two MeLCat refresher training sessions in February: Feb. 3 MeLCat Refresher Training for DCB Libraries (at MCLS Office) and Feb. 24 MeLCat Reports (Online).

The MeL Databases program is now able to offer a limited number of inservices for K12 teachers. Inservice programs will be based on PowerPoint presentations that highlight the best MeL resources for various K12 groups, such as elementary, middle school, secondary, and health. Inservice programs can be scheduled for one or two hours.

For more information on the minimum number of participants and the technical requirements for the host site, please contact Suzanne Robinson, MeL Training Coordinator at MCLS.

The MeL project is made possible by grant funds from the U.S. Institute of Museum and Library Services administered by the State of Michigan through the Library of Michigan.
