Virtual Dialogues for library staff in Indiana and MichiganMCLS’s Engagement, Consulting, and Training team will be hosting more sessions of our popular Virtual Dialogues via Zoom every other month in 2023, beginning in January. Mark your calendars now to join us!
These Dialogues are FREE and are designed for librarians and library workers at all levels and in all library types to connect, engage, learn from, and support each other across our two-state membership region. You do not need to be from an MCLS member library to participate.
Each session will have a specific topic (suggested by YOU through our online survey!) and guided questions based on principles and practices of Appreciative Inquiry to facilitate a supportive, growth-minded space. Most of the time will be spent in conversation with each other, so come with your camera and audio connected and ready to see and hear others as well as be seen and heard!
All sessions will be 10:30am-noon Eastern (9:30-11am Central), except for the July Dialogue which will be held in the evening in the hopes of allowing more of our school library staff colleagues and those who can't get away during the day a chance to participate.

Tuesday, July 11, 2023 
, *special time* 7-8:30pm Eastern (6-7:30pm Central) - Flipping from problems to opportunities
Thursday, Sept. 14, 2023 , 10:30am-noon Eastern (9:30-11am Central) - Identifying and celebrating accomplishments
Wednesday, Nov. 8, 2023 , 10:30am-noon Eastern (9:30-11am Central) - Both/And: mindset is a choice
January 2024 (Date TBD) - Positive mindset: bringing it all together!
Because these sessions are truly DIALOGUES and most of the learning will be done from peers in breakout rooms, they will NOT be recorded and shared for later viewing. We hope you can join us live.
