3	2278	TADL	Circulation	Refresh	The issue is that you're required to do a manual refresh after you make a change to the patron account via the user editor. For example, changing the last name of someone whom just got married. Once you make this change and save the user you then go to the check-out tab, you will need to hit "refresh" then click on the scan barcode box. This should be done automatically.
4	2281	TADL	OPAC	Hot Titles	An icon on the results page for Hot Titles would be welcome and would save much time. Less clicking on each title to see call numbers, if there's a hold at all, which one t put on hold, etc… Would it be possible to have some type of icon that would appear next to a title listing based on possible call numbers that begin with "hot" or something like that?

7	2313	TADL	Circulation	Searching	When you do a patron search by name and the list is pulled up...we can change what is viewed EXCEPT they do not offer address as a view. I know you can search by address, that is not what I want, I want to be able to see patron last name, first name, middle initial (which I can) but also check the view for address that they do not offer. Please put it on the list for items to change.
8	2323	TADL	Circulation	Holds	"To try to bring you up to speed on this issue, admin staff has had a few discussions on placing reserves on what were x-status items (damaged, missing, weeded, etc.). We've agreed that titles with all items weeded should not be able to be reserved and should not even appear in the catalog. When we've weeded everything, we have, in the past, simply deleted the title record. However, titles with all items missing, damaged, etc. should be able to be reserved."
9	2300	TADL	Circulation	Overrides	"Once we override an exception during a patron session I should not have to continually have to override the same exception every time. If you decide to let a patron check out 100 books and once the\'ve reached our libraries threshold and you've made the conscious decision to allow them to do this why then I'm required to do this another 80 some times? We need this fixed/changed. It is slowing down our circ department."
10	2492	TADL	Reports	Patron Credits	"This was discussed on our conference call with Mike Rylander yesterday. He believed that changes could be made to allow us to report on this. We do need to know when the money was taken in, at which library, for what patron, and what payment type was used (cash, check, credit). Some of the ideas that were discussed included creating a view to pull data from the audit tables, or auto-creating a payment and transaction and billing when credits are taken in."

14	3478	BDL/TADL	OPAC/Reports	"Coming Soon" or "Just In"	"We would like to link on our library web page(s) to ""coming soon!" items and "just in!" items. The easiest way to do this seems to be a shared bookbag, and if that's correct, it brings us to the question of how we can populate the bookbag. Is there an easy way to populate a bookbag from a report? Can we create "dynamic" bookbags somehow that essentially run a query like a report would?"
15	3557	TADL	Cataloging	7xx fields	"ESI says that when there is no 1XX field in the MARC record, but there is at least one 7XX field in the record, then the first 7XX field is pulled into the author display in the OPAC record. This is by design. Changing the display so that all 7XX fields are shown in the author display for the opac would be custom or sponsored development."

17	3584	TADL	Reports	New View	"We'd like to avoid the situation where patron cancelled holds that were ready for pickup remain on the holdshelf until our workflow removes them 7-8 days later. This means having a way of reporting on or otherwise generating a list of copies that are "on holds shelf" but not captured for a hold, or of holds that are cancelled but have a targeted copy with status of "on holds shelf", or... there's more than one way to do it. Mike Rylander and Evette and I discussed this yesterday, Mike said that he could create a view to do this in the reporter."
18	3621	TADL	OPAC/Searching	Search Filters	The sort criteria button is not active on the search page, although it is there. So if I search , for example, vampire, then choose the search filters, for example, Juvenile & Fiction, and I get a lot of results and I choose the sort criteria "by date, newest to oldest" at the results page, I then get a new bunch of results, negating the Juvenile and Fiction filters. you cannot redo the filters from the search results screen. I.e., you would need to do a new search with the new filters.
19	3677	TADL	Circulation	Holds	Menu option to take you directly to the holds for a title. Part of the reason for wanting this is to tell patrons where they are in line.

21	3749	TADL	Reports	Holds/Overdues	"Thanks to miker's guidance the other day, I can do a report of barcodes for items currently checked out to a patron that could fulfill a hold. Problem being when I try to add the patron information from that current circulation, I get every circulation on that item. Examples are in the TESTING TADL-MLC folder. overdue copies needed for holds (clone from jeff) - outputs one line per item, includes due date overdue copies needed for holds with patron info (clone from jeff) try to include patron info from circulation -> patron link, outputs oneline per item per circulation, appears to ignore base filter of check in time Is NULL - I created report and output folders called TESTING TADL-MLC also, so you can see the output of these templates without needing to create your own report."
22	3902	TADL	OPAC	Shelf Browser	"It's expected in so much as it\'s doing what the code was designed to do, and none of the developers ever seriously expect data to match reality 100%. Call numbers (even with the help of author and title and copy numbers) aren't the only criteria that determines where a book is found or housed in reality, so the shelf browse has always been more conceptual. This especially true when you browse a combination of libraries at once. You can't physically walk the "shelf" for your whole consortium. It'll definitely take development to pull in consideration of the author and title for sorting, and to also reposition the "shelf" such that the title used as an entry point (assuming you don't use the Call Number search in Advanced Search) is centered. I hope this helps."
23	4095	TADL	Circulation	Refresh	"In phone conf call on Feb 10, asked ESI to look into solutions for problem: after updating and saving an expired patron account and clicking on checkout, default is to date box and circ staff have to click on refresh to allow checkout from barcode box. Would be preferable for default after clicking on save and checkout, for default to go to barcode box to allow immediate scanning of barcodes for checkout. ESI is looking at the problem to determine what development is possible to fix."

Now that I look at the catalog again, and your ticket #2246, it seems like this request is not going to be as simple as I thought when I started typing it up."

Searching and Sorting

• Add a "begins with" functionality to the advanced search dropdowns that currently have "contains", "does not contain", and "matches exactly"
• Note: Functionality added with 1.4 upgrade - Add the ability to search or otherwise limit (not simply sort as currently exists) on the advanced search screen by publication date or publication date range.
  ex. I want to do a keyword search for books about ADHD published in the 1990s
• Add the ability to search by date added to system, or a range of dates, in the advanced search screen.
  ex. I want to do find all Patricia Cornwell books we added from 2007-2008
• Add the ability to sort by date added to system in the advanced search

Receipt Printing

• Have all patron transactions (renewals, checkouts, overdues, etc.) print on a single receipt

Circulation

• Note: Functionality available in 1.6 release - The ability to place a hold in the staff client from within a patron account
