MeL Workshops

Database training:  Contact MCLS staff for more information.

MPORTANT NOTE:  During the fall of 2010, we will be transitioning the MeL Databases training program to an online model.  Each three hour class will be split into two two-hour sessions and offered on consecutive days, either in the morning or the afternoon.  If you have questions, please contact us.  We have not yet edited all the information on these training pages. Training in the Michigan eLibrary (MeL) Databases is available free of charge for library staff, and those who model the use of the MeL databases for others, in the state of Michigan. Classes are offered in locations throughout the state.  Minimum class size is 8; maximum class size is 20. Libraries may combine staff to schedule classes.

To schedule a class to be taught for your library, REMC, or Cooperative, please contact MCLS.

Participants in these classes receive a certificate of completion.

MeL is a project of the Library of Michigan, an agency of the state government. The Library of Michigan contracts with MCLS and partners with a number of Michigan organizations and institutions to provide MeL services.

This project is made possible by grant funds from the U.S. Institute of Museum and Library Services administered by the State of Michigan through the Library of Michigan.
